Cookie Policy
RiotPay (SDFG CAPITAL PTY LTD) privacy policy. Last updated: June 15, 2026.
APPLIES TO: Website https://www.riotpay.com/
WEBSITE OWNER: SDFG Capital Pty Ltd, a company incorporated under the laws of Australia with company number ACN 678 656 829, whose registered office is at 49 Torrington Drive, Marsfield, NSW 2122, Australia.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can control them in full compliance with the ePrivacy Directive, GDPR (Article 6(1)(a) for non‑essential cookies), the latest 2025‑2026 rulings of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), as well as Asian countries data protection laws that require prior consent for non‑essential cookies.
For users in the EEA, UK the strict rules below are mandatory. For Australian and Asian users, we apply the same strict consent model as a best practice.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a website. They help the website function properly, remember your preferences, and collect anonymous usage statistics.
2. TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE
We divide cookies into three categories, as required by regulators:
Category | Purpose | Duration | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|---|
Strictly Necessary | Enable basic functions: security, load balancing, remembering your cookie choice. You cannot disable these via our banner. | 12 months | No (exempt) |
Functional | Remember your language preference, region, or other interface choices (if we add such features). | 6 months | Yes |
Analytical/Performance | Collect anonymised statistics (pages visited, time on site, referral source). We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation. | 14 months (GA4 default) | Yes |
We do not use advertising/targeting cookies. If we ever do, we will ask for separate explicit consent.
3. HOW WE OBTAIN YOUR CONSENT
When you first visit our Website, a cookie banner will appear. It is designed according to the following requirements:
3.1 Opt‑in principle
All non‑strictly necessary cookies (functional and analytical) are blocked by default. We do not set them on your device until you give explicit, informed, and unambiguous consent.
3.2 No cookie wall
We do not block access to the Website or the enquiry form if you refuse non‑essential cookies. You may freely use the Website with only necessary cookies.
3.3 Three equally prominent options on first layer
The banner presents three equally visible and accessible options:
- “Accept all”, that gives consent to all cookie categories.
- “Reject all”, that refuses all non‑essential cookies (only strictly necessary cookies are set).
- “Customise”/“Manage preferences”, that opens detailed settings.
Button design: The “Accept all” and “Reject all” buttons have the same size, colour, font, and visual prominence. We do not use dark patterns (e.g., a bright “Accept” and a pale, small “Reject”).
3.4 All non‑essential categories disabled by default
If you open the “Customise” panel, all toggles for functional and analytical cookies are in the “off” position. No pre‑checked boxes.
4. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT
You may withdraw your consent or change your cookie preferences at any time. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent:
- Option 1: Click the “Cookie Settings” link in the website footer.
- Option 2: Adjust your browser settings (instructions below).
5. HOW TO DISABLE COOKIES VIA YOUR BROWSER (ALL USERS)
You can block all cookies (including necessary ones) via your browser settings, but this may break the enquiry form or security features.
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data > Block all cookies.
- Firefox: Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Block all.
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Block all cookies.
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Block.
6. THIRD‑PARTY ANALYTICS
We use Google Analytics [type] with IP anonymisation enabled. Google may transfer data to the United States. For GDPR compliance, we have signed a Data Processing Addendum with Google incorporating Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
